TWO weeks after her exploits at the Asian Youth Games, Quah Ting Wen leaves for a much bigger stage, the Fina World Championships, tonight.
Fellow-Beijing Olympians Tao Li and Lynette Lim are also in the Singapore squad that will compete in Rome when the eight-day swimming programme gets underway on Sunday.
Olympic champion Michael Phelps and Aaron Peirsol of the United States are among the 2,800 athletes from 200 nations who will be in the Italian capital.
“My main target is personal bests,” said Ting Wen, whose four AYG gold medals earmed her the distinction of being one of only two athletes to win four titles.
In Rome, she will swim in the 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m free individual events.
